Ep# 101: The Power of the Pre Launch
As we gear up for another launch of our own, I want to let you behind the scenes of what we’re doing during our PRE LAUNCH period and let you in on how powerful the time period prior to officially launching an offer can be, when it’s done right!
I’ve seen this in my own business and with so many of my clients - the ones that master the pre launch are the ones that see a fruitful launch.
And since that’s always the goal - to monetize an idea, bring it to market, attract the right potential buyers to it and launch it with some fire behind it so you can impact more people with your work and increase your bottom line - let’s talk about what I believe to be the single most important piece of a launch.

Not enough people show the glimpse behind the curtain when it comes to HOW they successfully launched something and what led to the conversions. I see amazing launch results shared all of the time, and my first question is always, how did they make that happen?! That’s the real gold!
So I’m doing that for you today! The success of my future launches depends on how well I prepare my audience during the pre launch period. And I figured there was no better time to share this with you than while we’re in the middle of a pre launch ourselves!
7 STEPS OF A POWERFUL PRE LAUNCH:
ENGAGE YOUR AUDIENCE (and know who they are):
Post strategic social content that you know your audience cares about
Get in your DM’s and get to know your followers; ask questions and respond honestlySpend time looking at your followers accounts and create REAL conversation, not those cheesy, copy and paste, bot-like comments
ADD VALUE TO YOUR AUDIENCE
This is your time to shine and show what you know
Consistently add value (social media, emails, podcasts, guesting in other people’s programs)
Be strategic with your content - is it positioning you as the expert and does it tee up your offer? Think of your Pre Launch Content (PLCs) as a compass that will guide your audience to the next logical step: your offer!

CREATE BUZZ
Don’t scream for attention, attract it.
Hint that something’s coming (this podcast episode is doing that for me!)
INCLUDE YOUR AUDIENCE IN THE PROCESS
Ask your audience for help naming your offer
Survey your email list or Facebook group to learn what they want in a course/mastermind/product like yours
Collaborate on what goes into the product
GROW YOUR EMAIL LIST
What are you going to give away that’s worth someone giving up their email address?
Make sure your opt-ins are attracting the right people who will be ready to buy what you offer (Need help with this step? Listen to episode 85 about Crafting Opt-Ins)
Once you have the right opt-in read to go, start running Facebook and Instagram ads to your opt-in page
Don’t depend on social media to launch. Your email list is where you will see the most conversions if it’s filled with your ideal customers.
NURTURE YOUR LIST (most valuable step)
Deliver your PLC’s via your email list
Give top of funnel value (podcast, blogs, content) to continue attracting more potential customers
Show up for your audience! Answer questions, reply to emails, make yourself available.
GETTING PEOPLE ON CALLS (optional, but highly recommended)
It’s normal for people to have objections. The most effective way to work past these objections is to get on phone calls and talk through them.
For low ticket offers: the goal is to gain knowledge of how to better serve your audience
For high ticket offers: Address objections and address how your offer can help this person in particular. The goal is to get a conversion.
No matter what you’re launching in your business, the goal is to get your audience to buy, right?
So the best thing you can do during the pre launch period is grease the runway to the cart. How do you do that? By providing value. And not just value, but FREE VALUE.
