Hi, I'm Elizabeth...
Allow me to introduce myself.
You're going to see a lot of beautifully curated images on my site, well researched content and resources that will hopefully play some small roll in shifting the paradigm of your life. Don't let all of that deceive you... it took a lot of work and years of practice.
I want to make sure that my readers remember that this can sometimes be my highlight reel. So in an effort to be fully transparent, I want you to know ME, too. The me that has a desktop loaded with images that desperately need organization, an email that is so overflowing it's almost too embarrassing to share the current number (whatever your guess is, add about 10,000 and multiply it by something), and house full of life and complete chaos.
My thighs touch, I like beer and although I try not to, I swear sometimes.
I spend my days juggling my desire to be an avid researcher, writer and speaker with spit-up, diapers and self-spawning laundry.
I'm in the trenches with you as much as I'm out of them. A regular day can be crazy, chaotic and sometimes probably hazardous, but the main difference? There are now quite a few days that fall outside of "regular" on the life spectrum, and my God are they glorious!
A day like this picture, for example. A random Thursday in the middle of the afternoon where my handsome hubby and I took the kids to go play lumberjack and cut down our own Christmas tree - a yearly Hartke tradition. Why is that so extraordinary? Well, because it's a reminder to me of the life that we've built as a family. ANY day of the week we can pick up and go do something with our children. That's not a bragging statement or something for you to compare to, it's just something that I cherish and don't take lightly.
Six years ago, that wasn't my trajectory.
I was a corporate employee with no signs of that ever changing. I had gotten the degree, gotten the job and thought that it was the only way.
So now, when I can go chop down a tree on a Thursday, it hits me how far we've come and how hard we worked to get here. Freedom is a rare gift. Both Michael and I made a lot of sacrifices, overcame a lot of limiting self beliefs, and got our hands really dirty to build our own businesses that provide for us - both financially and in the freedom of time - in the way that they do.
There are other days - flashier ones - where I'm taking the stage to speak to a room of thousands who sit where I sat not long ago, or product launches, exotic travels or the chance to meet and work with people I used to admire from afar. But for the most part (and I want it this way), I'm right there with you. Struggling to put down the donut, navigate motherhood and live my purpose all at the same time.
My mission is simple...
I know that I was put on this earth to wake people up from a life on autopilot. Through my experiences, my research, training and expertise I've developed systems and frameworks to teach people how to become their best self and actually LIVE the life that they've always dreamed of. We work hard. We fight doubt. We fail. But we are set apart from the rest because we do it, anyway. Quite frankly, life is too short not to.
We start with health, because without that we don't have much. We maximize and optimize our physical potential. We lose weight, gain energy and confidence and unlock the power of our brains through both simple fitness and nutrition principles that become a way of life.
Then we do the HEART work. Who are we? What are we passionate about? And how can we become self-aware enough to become better at just simply being US.
And then...
The money maker. How can we tie all of that into a creating a revenue stream that provides for our family and our dream? Whether it's scaling the business that you already have, creating one from scratch or simply determining what's next in your career, we create magic.
And as a result, the extraordinary days are born. In limited numbers at first, but soon in limitless supply.
I'm just a mom, a wife and girl who is perpetually on a journey to get better at all of it.
But by night, I'm your guide out to make you the hero of this story.
