Ep# 118: [Pep Talk] Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes
Being in the thick of a launch breeds a lot of great conversations!
My DM’s stack up with people asking good questions, wanting to know if what I’m offering is a good fit for them, if they should just skip ahead to the mastermind, if they’re ready…
So honestly, I spend most of my time in my inboxes during launch week!
This is a task that sounds exhausting typically, but it lights me up during a launch because I’m having conversations with people ready to grow, make a greater impact, scale, and expand.
I don’t know actual percentages here, but if I had to guess I’d say that maybe 30-40% of those conversations sound something like this: “Well maybe I’ll try it next time it launches. I’m not sure if I’m ready for it right now.”
I get it. I’ve felt that way about a lot of things in my life, too. I’ve held myself back or questioned my worthiness for certain things.
But almost all of those conversations led to an action after I pointed out the maybe not-so-obvious truth: “So what do you plan on changing between now and then to ensure you’re ready next time?”
I don’t say that to be sassy; it’s a real question.
Let’s say that “thing” (course, mastermind, etc.) you want so badly launches one year from now. If you keep doing what you’re doing, will you evolve into the business or version of yourself that is ready? Or will you be exactly where you are today but more burnt out and more frustrated that you haven’t advanced to where you expected?
That’s WHY you invest in the course or the mastermind or the coach or the program. Not because you’re ready for it, but because it will become the catalyst for change that you’re seeking.
Maybe you’re scared to invest or to fail or to come in looking like a novice in this new thing you’d be learning.
I get all of that.
But nothing changes if nothing changes. Time alone is not going to get you there.
