It’s time to give the world a taste of Ugly Honest and the woman behind it, Emily Whipple.

Emily is a member of my Maverick Mastermind, and I asked her to come on the show for a few reasons:

Emily has created one of the most positive, uplifting and motivating communities for moms I’ve ever seen.
She has grown her program and her community at warp speed! She’s sharing all about her experience and the strategies she’s implemented that have caused this growth.

Emily’s business prior to joining the Maverick Mastermind

Emily was starting to feel frustrated and wanted to have a bigger impact. She was trying to do it all on her own. She had taken a couple of courses and was able to get her website up and running, but she was focusing on many ideas and felt like she didn’t know where to focus her energy and attention to see the growth she was hoping for.

There really wasn’t a clear income component to Ugly Honest. Emily had a difficult time seeing how to monetize in a way that felt authentic to her. Being able to replace her teaching income felt like a wild and crazy dream.

What made Emily choose the Maverick Mastermind

Emily really likes the holistic approach of the Mastermind and the Scaling Up curriculum.

Her decision to join the Mastermind was very spontaneous and serendipitous (tune in to hear the whole story of how she found me! It’s wild!), but she knew she needed direction and accountability.

Emily’s biggest wins since starting the Maverick Mastermind

The Ugly Honest Facebook community is thriving! Emily published the group in June, and it grew so quickly. Moms are being honest and vulnerable and it’s so empowering and inspiring.

She has also created her own signature program and is growing in confidence.

Future goals for Ugly Honest

Emily is excited to kick off the next round of her program soon, and then hopefully set up a more automated system.

Emily is also hoping to start ramping up her PR and exposure and start doing more public speaking.

Her big “stretch goal” is to someday write and publish a book in order to reach a larger audience with her message!
